This is the upper-end treadmill in Bowflex's standard line - it costs a little more than its cheaper counterparts, the Series 3 and the Series 5, but it's also got a lot more features. The general consensus is that if you're going to go cheaper, you should go with the Series 3 - if you want anything more, go with the Series 7. It's only a little more expensive than the Series 5, but has a stronger engine and will last you a lot longer. It's not an ultra-high end product, but it's a good one for this price range (roughly $1300-1400).
The advantages:
A 3.0 horsepower motor, stronger than either of its counterparts, means that you will put a lot less wear and tear on it
"Quick-speed" keys that instantly change the speed you're working at
Lots of workout options to choose from
A heart rate monitor that adjusts the workout to whatever your heart rate currently is
Long warranties
Folds up when you're not using it
Gets great ratings on Amazon, got a great rating from Consumer Reports magazine
Large running surface (60 inches) to give you plenty of room
The disadvantages:
The weight can be a disadvantage if you ever need to move it - nearly 300 pounds. It gives you a sturdy frame that won't shake as much, but it would take a couple of people to move it anywhere
More expensive than the Series 3 - if you don't need as many features and can deal with bare bones, that's a better option
