This is a nice bet for someone looking for something in the under $1000 range that is still high quality. Fuel is a company that makes both treadmills and elliptical machines. They've only got two brands of treadmill - this one, the FT94, and the FT96 (the same basic thing, but with more features and a little more expensive). The FT94 is a solid bet in this price range - it's got more features than you can usually get for this amount of money, will only run you about $800, and has everything you need for a decent workout.
The advantages:
It's sturdy. Especially when you start getting down into the sub-$1000 prices, many of them are built with cheaper materials and they can shake around if you put much pressure (or weight) on them. This has a pretty solid frame which will help you avoid that issue.
It's a folding treadmill, so you can tuck it away when you're not using it and it won't take up as much space.
It's got some nice extra features that are unusual in this price range - hand grips that will monitor your heart rate, as well as speakers built into it so that you can plug in an mp3 player and listen to music.
Large space in the running area
Adjustable incline, so you can simulate running uphill
The disadvantages:
It doesn't have everything you can get with a more expensive brand
Upper weight limit of 270 pounds - that's good for most people, but you might have to buy a more expensive one if you're bigger
