HealthRider H150i Treadmills

HealthRider’s H150i treadmill competes at a lower price point of about $400.  There is a 2.25 hp motor – sufficient to do the job – that supports speeds and inclines of up to 10%.  Inpact reduction technology lessens the shocks absorbed by your joints.  A digital speed control and 4 pre-programmed workouts help guide the user in his or her fitness routine. The 18 by 50 inch tread belt is smaller, and there might be comparable products (within the same price range) that have a bigger surface area.  It will be a good idea to look around.  There is a 3-year motor warranty but parts and labor are only 90 days.  Replacement or repair costs can still be expensive if parts breakdown.  On the whole, if you are looking for a value purchase, this might work out – only after looking at competing models.

Advantages:

  1. At $400, the cash expenditure will not be too heavy.  But it's a good idea to keep looking at competing products.
  2. iFIT compatible.  At this price point, this is surprising.  You can use the treadmill with CD’s and videos off the internet, which can be hooked up to the product and adjusts speed.

Disadvantage:

  1. Does not have a truly compelling reason for purchase.
  2. 90 days warranty on parts and labor?  That’s a risk.
