Horizon T71 Treadmills

The Horizon T71 has a great looking design and is easy on the eyes.  This treadmill comes with a price tag of approximately $1,000 – which is somewhere between the mass consumer lines out there, and the higher end models in the $1,400+ price range.  There are 1.8 inch rollers that aid you in moving this treadmill around your house.  Thus, you can store it one day and roll it out to your living room the next – without unreasonable effort. One touch speed and incline buttons help you be on the go almost instantly (after stretching of course).  Unfortunately, the 1.75 hp motor could be more powerful.  Also, the 18 by 50 inch surface area could also be a little bit bigger.  If these two variables are important for you, keep looking (and testing) competing products.  It does come with a built-in fan to help you keep cool, and the cushioning system does a good job in reducing impact on your joints when running.  There is a lifetime warranty on the frame, 7 years for the motor, and 1 year on parts and labor.

Advantages:

  1. 7 year warranty on motor, lifetime on frame, and 1 year for parts and labor.
  2. Built-in fan to help you keep cool.

Disadvantages:

  1. 18 by 50 inch surface area.
  2. 1.75 hp motor could be better, at least for a price point of $1,000.
