This is a cheaper model designed for people who are looking for something reliable but on the lower end of the price range. It is part of a line made by Merit Fitness, which also includes the 720T and the 730T. This line ranges in price from about $400 for the 710 to about $600 for the 730.
The advantages:
The weight. This one is very light - only 110 pounds or so. That means it's easier to store and easy to move out of the way.
A good option if you aren't going to be doing extremely intensive workouts.
The price. This is the big one - you really aren't going to find much cheaper. Realistically, this isn't an extremely high quality brand. It will work, and with proper care it will last awhile - but the main reason to get this is because you don't want to lay out $2000 to get something better.
The disadvantages:
If you're larger it may not give you enough support - it's only designed to hold someone up to 250 pounds.
The workout area is smaller than a lot of other brands, and smaller than the other two in its product line. That means you are kind of scrunched up a little when running, with less freedom of motion.
Because of the smaller workout area, it's better for walking than for running.
