Motus M995TL Treadmill Review
The 995TL is the absolute top of the line. You pretty much can't get better than this - but you also can't get more expensive. You're looking at paying in the $8,000 range. But if you've got money to blow, and you want the Ferrari of treadmills, then you want this one. They've got a couple of other brands - but the cheapest is still around $6,500. It's made by Motus USA, which is a subsidiary of a Korean company called Motus Co. Ltd. You probably don't recognize them - but most of the parts are from places you've heard of, like Samsung, Hyundai, or Mitsubishi. One very important point: if you don't want the built-in television for some reason, then do NOT buy this one. Instead, go with the Motus M995T - it's the exact same thing without the TV, and it's a little cheaper.
The advantages:
The horsepower far exceeds anything you will get on a cheaper treadmill - meaning the motor lasts a lot longer
The screen is basically a television - and you can use it as one. It's a fifteen-inch LCD monitor, and it plays DVD's.
The running area is extremely large, so you will have plenty of space. Other treadmills can feel cramped
Handgrips that are designed to get rid of the bacteria in your sweat (good if you've got someone else using it, too)
Very little vibration. It's a very stable chassis, so you won't be shaking around by running on it. That's extremely helpful if you are a larger person
It has an AC built into it
The disadvantages:
Way too expensive to be worth it for anyone who is just using it casually (unless you've got money to burn). These things are mainly for high-end gyms, the very wealthy, or possibly someone training for sports professionally.
