Nautilus Sports Series T5.18 Lex Treadmills
The T5.18 LEX Treadmill is offered by Nautilus, Inc. which has recognizable fitness brands (often seen on television commercials) including Nautilus, Bowflex, Schwinn Fitness, and StairMaster, among other products. The T5.18 is considered a premium model and one is hard pressed to find many comparable products at its price of $2,200. This product is slightly bigger (20 by 60 inch running space) than its T5.16 LEX brethren (20 by 57 inch area), also offered by Nautilus. This is an extremely accommodating treadmill with a powerful 3.0 horsepower Hyper-drive duty motor allowing you to run (or sprint) your heart out. There are 12 pre-set programs which allow you to go up to speeds of 12 mph and incline up to 15%. There is plenty of weight capacity at 375 pounds, the deck features patented suspension technology, you have the SuperSoft belt technology, and finally a wireless chest strap for real time monitoring.
Advantages:
- Premium and top of the line product. Protected by warranty: Warranty: Lifetime on frame, 10 years on parts, and 1 year for labor.
- Deserving of high praise. Has a Stability Bar in front to keep your walks and runs manageable if you are exerting yourself.
- Display area and cup holders section can support a magazine or electronic device.
Disadvantages:
- No fan?
- Why call a $2,000+ purchase a technical identifier code “T5.18”? Why not call it a real name, maybe something like a car name, like the Nautilus “Charger”? Gives it a true brand. Currently, sounds like the model for the Terminator.
- Price heavy, but no conceivable disadvantages when you have all the bells and whistles.
