Sole F80 Treadmill Review
The Sole F-80 is a medium-range model that is great for home use if you're planning on running regularly. For the price range this one is in (probably around $1600-1700) it's a very high quality machine. It folds up to take up a lot less room (the running area goes nearly vertical). Overall, this is a very good option that has gotten strong reviews from its users.
The advantages:
It can handle pretty heavy users - up to 335 pounds
The motor is powerful - 3.0 horsepower, that can get to speeds up to 11 mph. It's also quiet despite the power.
The base is sturdy (a plus if you're bigger as some of the cheap models will shake around).
This is pretty close to gym quality. It's got a bunch of random extra features: pulse grips on the side, a lot of electronic workout programs, cooling fans, speakers, a place to plug in your iPod, etc.
Both the incline and the speed can be programmed to alter automatically based on your heart rate to keep it at a certain level.
The disadvantages:
The fans are set to blow on someone of average height - so if you're short, you may not get any air at all, and if you're tall, you may not get as cool as you would otherwise.
You have to assemble it yourself and it can take an hour or more.
The box is going to be heavy. You may need someone else to help you put it together, or at least move it to wherever you are taking it apart.
