Sole F83 Treadmills
The Sole F83 is a higher end treadmill, priced between $1,500 and $1,800. The 2008 model is priced on the lower end of that range, while the 2009 model is on the upper tier of that range. They are basically the same model though, and buying the 2008 version can save you some money. Treadmills at this tier level are usually good or great ones – typically they have the same features. Unsurprisingly, the Sole F83 seems pretty sturdy in terms of frame, provides comfort with its deck, roller, tread belt, and running surface. The running area measures 20 by 55 inches. The 3.0 horsepower motor supports speeds of up to 10 mph with a 15% maximum incline. The 350 pound weight capacity should make this a viable alternative for the vast majority of shoppers. The folding feature can help you store this thing, but make room for it as it will take up some space.
Advantages:
- Cooling fan, speakers and MP3 plug-ins, shock absorbing deck, cup holders, and sturdy frame.
- Lifetime warranties on motor, deck, and frame. Wear components have 5 year warranties, with 2 year warranty on labor. That’s generous for the industry.
Disadvantages:
- A bit pricey considering competing treadmills offer roughly the same features for under $1,300. If you really like certain features, such as the shock absorption of the deck, then it might be worth the premium price.
